Harvard HPAIR Leadership Program

The Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations, or HPAIR consisted of mentors flying in all the way from Harvard University to lead what unfurled as one of the most impactful leadership conferences for high school students in North India. Students from more than 20 schools came together to master the art of leadership, networking, persuasion, and creating passion projects. They learned the nuances of leadership through a perfect blend of informative sessions, team activities, and brainstorming. The feedback that we received from participating students indicated that they felt greatly empowered in terms of leadership experience and will go on to use such experiential learning in their everyday lives.

Why Does It Matter?

The world belongs to leaders who have what it takes to be change makers. Opportunities like the HPAIR Leadership Program offer a broader and deeper understanding of leadership to young minds, hence laying a strong foundation for leadership development as perceived and taught at Harvard University. The sessions and workshops included modes of persuasion, how to craft a passion project, and how to develop a solution-oriented mindset. That’s exactly what young students need at this stage in their lives.
